Why I Love Tawni O’Dell

Because she is blue-collar.  Because she is from western Pennsylvania.  Because I love her novels, especially Back Roads.  Because she is the only author I ever sent a “fan email” to.  Because I love what she has to say about the struggles of women authors in today’s literary landscape.  (Thanks Brandi, for the link!)

  1. This is fabulous! Thanks, both of you, for the link! Tells it like it is.

  2. Karen Weyant Said:

    • I was astonished that anyone is still telling an author to use initials to pretend to be…whatever. The whole photo shoot was weird in all sorts of ways. Etc! But her clarity and honesty are so wonderful. Makes me want to read her work, and I looked for her today at Babbitt’s, but we didn’t have anything by her at the moment.
