Christmas is just around the corner, so that means no new books — at least no new books purchased for myself. I have a long list of books for Anthony to buy me, but I am holding off on any near future purchases until after the holidays. However, as soon as I take a break in my grading, I am going to dive into The Wild Rose Asylum by Rachel Dilworth — a book that arrived in the mail yesterday.
In other news, Michelle McGrane at Peony Moon has been collecting lists of best poetry books of 2009. After Christmas, I will make a more complete list but for now I will list three (there are many more): Ohio Violence by Alison Stine; A Brief History of Time by Shaindel Beers, and The Brother Swimming Beneath Me by Brent Goodman.
