At The Comstock Review

It’s October 1.  It’s Autumn.  It’s cold.  After three days of darkness, the sun is finally poking its way through the clouds.  And I have some good news.  Take a look at the homepage of The Comstock Review  where the editors have recently announced the winners of the annual Muriel Craft Bailey Memorial Award.  This year, the contest was judged by Maxine Kumin, one of my favorite poets, ever!  And yep, if you scroll down, you will see little old me as a winner of an honorable mention and a special merit award.  Exciting news, indeed.  The Comstock Reviewhas always been one of my favorite journals (and I have published there before), but to be honest, I think this is the first time I have ever entered a single poem contest (I have entered my chapbooks in contests before).  I don’t really have money for contests, but I couldn’t resist when I found out that Kumin was judging.  So now, I can’t wait for the issue to come out to read the rest of the winners!
